Any one know how much a 302 GMC connecting rod with the small wrist pin weights?
I've got some, but i'll have to see if my scales go that high, they are real heavy rods even with the small pins.
Yep, it's in the book. There's also different small pin rods that can cause you issues if you have a mis-matched set, so you need to make sure they all match before you start an engine build.

The small pin rod I weighed comes in at 998 grams.
Thanks a lot, CNC-Dude #5585. This information is really helpful. Does your weight include the pin?
No, its just the bare connecting rod with the caps, bolts and nuts. With polishing, lightening and balancing you can safely take another 25-30g off of the total weight.
Thanks for spending the time to get the weight for me.
What are the two pin sizes?
Oh, There's not a big and a little. There's a big and a
bigger.
The good thing about the small pin rod is it is the same size as the Big Block Chevy wrist pin, and makes it easy to get standard standard available pins when getting custom pistons made.
Is the hole bigger or is the bushing thinner for the big pin.
Its a different forging and has a bigger diameter hole with a larger bushing in it for the bigger pin.
