March / April 2012
A couple of announcements to make to start with, Juan Ramirez of The Valley Inliners has become the chapter head replacing Nick Tousounis, and Doug Albee has taken over the Florida Chapter replacing Larry Page. I would like to welcome Juan and Doug and a big Thank You to Nick and Larry for their years of service.
We have had a few discussions on a club calendar, it isn't nearly as cheap as I thought it could be, especially when you aren't ordering tens of thousands. Several people are working to put an example together for future consideration. Hopefully it would debut at Carson City.
Think about putting RAPPIN TO MINDEN on your to do list in 2013, just think a world wide car event. After attending the 2012 convention in Carson City where those present can experience the original Rappin to Minden in person and to maybe come up with some unique ideas for their own Rappin to Minden in 2013.
It sounds as most of the caravaning plans are coming along pretty well. By the time we get to the convention we should know what we did and how much fun we had. I've heard several members plan extended trips in their cars rather than just returning straight home. I hope they take plenty of pictures for the newsletter. These plans re-enforce that old saying from the '70's of the funs in the run.
Another reminder of the pig roast in Joes, Colorado on July 22nd. This will be a High Plains Chapter meeting to which all members of Inliners International are invited. If you are traveling and in the area stop by. We do cook the pig in the ground if your wondering, Just let us know for a head count.
